As a Systems Administrator III, you will take charge of complex system administration tasks and lead initiatives to enhance system performance and security. **This position is contingent on contract award** Job Duties{{:}} Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, hardware, and software, ensuring optimal functionality and security Evaluate and optimize system specifications, input/output processes, as well as hardware and software compatibility Troubleshoot complex networking and operating system issues, providing expert-level analysis and resolution Research, implement, and recommend automation strategies to streamline administrative processes Provide oversight and mentorship to junior staff, cultivating a collaborative environment Serve as the subject matter expert for system administration tasks and complex issues Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and protocols Requirements Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in systems administration with a Master's degree, or eleven (11) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field Compliance with the latest Cybersecurity workforce certification/training as outlined in DoD 8570.1M and DoD 8140 manual, as applicable Possession of at least one relevant certification{{:}} CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing network security tools, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems Proven ability to train and mentor staff, enhancing their understanding of applicable software and technologies Active DOD Secret Security Clearance is required to commence employment Benefits At RMC, we're committed to your career growth!

The successful candidate will perform in a fast pace environment in the capacity of upgrades/migrations; instance/database hardening and supporting system accreditation activities; application and database troubleshooting; code review to include (evaluating the implications of using stored procedures and constraints to implement business rules), database design/development, optimize performance, recommend and implement process improvement technologies. Responsibilities{{:}} Create, maintain and execute scheduled jobs, data extracts, data refreshes, data loads and data replication Manage Application and User Accounts Devise implementation plans for tasking Test backup strategies and implement database recovery techniques when required Document database actions Data recovery and space requirements /capacity planning for physical database and the ability to install client/server software and patches Troubleshooting database issues and optimize performance experience Must be able to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot database replication (transactional and snapshot) The selected candidate should have{{:}} Experience with Database Servers and Server Migrations Experience with Linked Servers and Aliases Experience with implementing data security and hardening (groups, roles, privileges, authentication, TDE, and auditing) Experience in applying DISA STIGs to SQL Server environments to harden databases and maintain continuous security compliance Familiarity with Database Server Integration Services, and Policy Management Familiarity with both Development and Production environment administration Familiarity with Monitoring and Performance Dashboards Knowledgeable with Query Optimization Strong communication, interpersonal, and human relations skills to interact with clients Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to...
