As a Systems Administrator III, you will take charge of complex system administration tasks and lead initiatives to enhance system performance and security. **This position is contingent on contract award** Job Duties{{:}} Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, hardware, and software, ensuring optimal functionality and security Evaluate and optimize system specifications, input/output processes, as well as hardware and software compatibility Troubleshoot complex networking and operating system issues, providing expert-level analysis and resolution Research, implement, and recommend automation strategies to streamline administrative processes Provide oversight and mentorship to junior staff, cultivating a collaborative environment Serve as the subject matter expert for system administration tasks and complex issues Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and protocols Requirements Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in systems administration with a Master's degree, or eleven (11) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field Compliance with the latest Cybersecurity workforce certification/training as outlined in DoD 8570.1M and DoD 8140 manual, as applicable Possession of at least one relevant certification{{:}} CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing network security tools, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems Proven ability to train and mentor staff, enhancing their understanding of applicable software and technologies Active DOD Secret Security Clearance is required to commence employment Benefits At RMC, we're committed to your career growth!
