Senior Accountant

[Industry: Manufacturing | Type: Full-time | Level: Mid-Senior level] About the Opportunity:Our client, a growing company within the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support core general ledger operations and help drive process improvements in a highly manual accounting environment. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by enhancing efficiencies, strengthening accounting controls, and supporting complex operational accounting activities.Salary Range:$70,000-$100,000Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.Responsibilities:• Manage full-cycle general ledger accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness• Oversee revenue recognition, lease accounting, sales tax, and commission calculations• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities• Identify and implement process improvements within a manual accounting environment• Collaborate cross-functionally to support operational and financial reporting needs• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards• Analyze financial data to support business decision-makingQualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required• 5–8+ years of accounting experience, including industry experience in manufacturing or construction• Strong understanding of debits, credits, and core accounting principles• Experience working in and improving manual accounting processes• Proficient in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs• Experience with sales tax and commission accounting preferredAbout Sayva:Sayva Solutions is an accounting, finance, technology, business transformation and human resources professional services firm whose focus is on long term relationships created through teamwork and doing what is in the best interest of others.
