Senior Underwriter

In this role, you will be responsible for making final credit decisions, structuring deals, and managing overall risk within our MCA portfolio. You will review prepared files, perform independent risk analysis, and approve, counter, or decline transactions based on company guidelines and risk tolerance.The Senior Underwriter plays a critical leadership role in maintaining portfolio quality, driving funding volume, and mentoring junior underwriting staff.Key ResponsibilitiesReview complete underwriting files and make final credit decisionStructure deals including approval amounts, terms, pricing, and stipulationsEvaluate bank statements, credit reports, stacking exposure, and overall risk profileAssess renewals, refinances, and modification requestsMonitor portfolio performance and identify emerging risk trendsProvide guidance and oversight to Junior UnderwritersCollaborate with sales and operations teams to move deals efficientlyCommunicate approval terms and conditions clearly to internal teams and brokersMaintain adherence to internal risk guidelines and funding policiesAssist in refining underwriting policies and credit parameters as the company scalesQualificationsMinimum 2+ years of direct MCA underwriting experience (required)Strong understanding of merchant cash advance risk evaluation and deal structuringProven track record of independent credit decision-makingDeep familiarity with analyzing bank statements, stacking positions, and cash flow trendsStrong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume funding environmentProficient in Excel and underwriting systemsLeadership mindset with ability to mentor junior staffOffice HoursMonday to Thursday: 10:00 am to 6:00 pmFriday: 10:0...
