Job description
We are seeking a lead electrical engineering for the design of high-performance mobile warehouse automation systems. You will be responsible for the complete power architecture, overseeing systems that utilize both external conductor rails and onboard energy storage.Key Responsibilities-Power Architecture: Design robust electrical systems that manage dynamic power inputs, and handle external power sources (conductor rails/sliding contacts) and onboard storage (Supercapacitors/Batteries).-Harness & Interconnect: Oversee the routing and design of wire harnesses and current collector interfaces.-Design 3D routing and design of internal wire harnesses for compact mobile platforms.-Ensure designs withstand continuous vibration and movement while maintaining reliable power and data contact.-Hardware Integration & Comms: Manage the physical integration of sensors, drives, and bus systems.-Ensure proper termination, grounding, and noise immunity for CAN bus networks in warehousing environments.-Team & Lifecycle Management: Lead the engineering team in generating standardized manufacturing documentation (schematics, BOMs).-Support the product from prototype testing through to on-site commissioning support.Qualifications-Core Experience: 5+ years of experience designing electrical systems for automated material handling, rail-guided vehicles, or mobile machinery.-Power Systems Expertise: proven experience with power distribution rails (busbars), current collectors, and energy storage integration (Supercapacitors or Lithium-ion).-Understanding of rapid charge/discharge cycles and DC bus regulations is required.-Regulatory Knowledge: Deep familiarity with US standards (UL/NFPA).
