Senior Software Engineer

You will work with massive volumes of telemetry data, conduct rigorous investigations, build automated anomaly-detection workflows, and uncover insights that drive product and architectural decisions. You’ll explore and enable new tools and approaches to memory profiling, partnering closely with engineering teams across Microsoft for hands-on optimizations.This work is both challenging and highly rewarding: your contributions will have direct, measurable impact on the speed, efficiency, and reliability of Microsoft Teams at global scale.ResponsibilitiesConduct deep technical investigations into performance and memory-related issues using telemetry, profiling tools, statistical analysis, and experimentation.Research emerging approaches, methodologies, and tools for memory optimization, and drive adoption across Teams engineering.Develop and refine automated systems for analyzing large telemetry datasets, detecting anomalies, and identifying optimization opportunities.Build proof-of-concepts and prototypes to validate hypotheses, accelerate decision-making, and inform long-term technical direction.Partner with teams across Microsoft (Teams feature teams, Edge, Windows, and more) to design and ship optimizations that improve user experience and app health.Lead and participate in architecture and design discussions related to performance and memory efficiency.Influence and promote a performance-first mindset and engineering rigor across the broader product organization.Mentor engineers, shar...
